Merry Christmas Lynette!

Welcome to the Merry Christmas Lynette Blog Hop! Today, the Sweet Pea Stamps design team are sharing a selection of creations as a surprise to Lynette, owner of Sweet Pea Stamps.
This image  is from Meredith Dillman and it is called AIRSHIPS. I stamped the image onto watercolor paper with Stazon and colored it with distress reinkers.I embossed thebackground and sponged it... the screws are brads and I like the contrast of the rhinestones and the gears... Hope you like it
Below you will find the list of stops along the way, leave a comment at each stop for an entry into a drawing for a 3 piece grab bag of Sweet Pea Stamps images. The drawing will be held 12/22 and the winner announced on the Sweet Pea Stamps blog. Thanks for stopping by, Merry Christmas and good luck!

Another Gorgeous Stamp!

This is another gorgeous stamp available from Sweet Pea Stamps. I have had a roaring headache for a few days but I wanted to post this gorgeous stamp and show the card that i made it into...
I colored it with my water color crayons. First I scribbled them onto paper and then I picked up the color with a water color brush to color my image. Then when that was done i added shimmerz to her hair and of course stickles and paper flowers and here is my creation! Thanks for popping in... time for some more aspirin...

I LOVE this stamp. Thank you Jacque for giving it to me...it brightens my day! I love the sailor suit as my Daddy was in the navy for 20 years and the little boy reminds me of my precious son...Jacob. I love the soft palette that I chose and I think this would be a great card for someone who is having a baby boy or also as a baby thank you card as well. it was really easy to do and i used water color paper and ink to color him in! Thanks for stopping in and be sure to look at the Scrolls Work site to see the new items on the clearance page... Unmounted AWESOME quality stamps for as low as $2 or LESS...

Weaving, Embossing and Watercoloring...(and some stamping too!)

I made this super fun card using ARTful Inkables new sets, Peacock Pagentry and Paisleys and Peacocks. For the woven background, I chose a designer paper that had the colors I wanted to use in it and I cut them into one inch strips. Then I chose a solid color in my pallet as well. I adhered them to a 4 by 5.25 piece of card after I wove them together. Then I trimmed the edges to size. I took my Peacock Pagentry stamp and embossed the background with detail gold embossing powder. Next, I embossed this awesome Peacock with gold as well and watercolored her. I cut a matt to match the shape that the peacock is on with my nesites.  I added this wonderful bow and a fun flower to finish my bow off and here is my creation! Please take a look at the blog hop over at ARTful Inkalbes that began yesterday and leave comments for a chance to win some of the new releases! Thanks for stopping by!

Winter Pansies

A while back I won a contest for a $100 gift certificate for Clear Art Stamps. This was one of the sets that I got and I LOVE this set! It reminds me of my sweet little mommy! SHE LOVES pansies and little girls!(must be why she had 4 of us... maybe the 2 boys were for Daddy?)Oh and one thing that i found crazy... in the South... the pansies are planted for the winter and removed in the spring and other flowers are planted. In Buffalo, pansies are the SUMMER flowers and NOTHING grows in the winter!(LOL) ANYWAY... I used black detail embossing powder and watercolors on watercolor paper to create my little flower girl. I used nesties to cut the shapes and added the details to spruce it up! I love the way this turned out and the crushed velvet ribbon adds so much texture to this! I hope you enjoyed this card and have a Happy St. Pat's day!

DRS Design Challenge #6

I made this card for the team that I design with,DRS Designs. The challenge was to make a card with a sentiment as the focal point of the card. I LOVE this sentiment as Autumn is my favorite season. I stamped the leaves with the easy background on watercolor paper and then I watercolored them in. I used a scallop edge punch for the sides and punched out the leaves from some cardstock. I adhered two of them and then I popped one of them up. I sponged the egdes of the cardstock ,added some dots for texture and put it all together.
I really encourage you to check out the DRSDesigns blog and play along with the challenge. If you do, please upload a link so we can see your creations! Also, upload to www.splitcoaststampers.com with the keyword DRSC6. thanks for visiting and have a great day filled with all of the colors of Autumn!
