Are You Kidding Me? How Gorgeous Are These Stamps?

This stamp is from: Elaine Cox's sheet 15 Fairy Portraits sold at Sweet Pea Stamps. They come on a sheet of 4... or you can buy them as single stamps.I busted out the pencils and the gamsol and colored the fairy for a soft effect. Then I added glitter pens for highlights in the hair.
The, I embossed the background of core paper and then I sanded it to show off the petals in the flowers. I needed to add the rhinestones to the center of the flowers because I LOVE bling! Here is another picture of the fairy for a closeup...
SHEESH!!! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE these stamps!
Thanks for popping in!

Beautiful Bountiful Butterflies...Featuring DRS!

I made this card today using the DRS butterfly stamps (I used number C119 and D117). I said bountiful in my post title because DRS certainly does have tons of butterfly stamps. Main images, ribbon slides, butterfly sayings, butterfly backgrounds and even butterfly card edgers! If you love butterflies, DRS is the place for you!
And I have to give credit to my gal Heather Reppen for this sketch. I totally cased it from her and it worked out awesome for this card! So thanks, Heather... You are awesome!!!
I used my gamsol and colored pencils for the coloring and added gel and glitter pens for the details. I used the bubble easy background for the background dots and I love the dimension that it adds...not to much... just enough! I had this awesome matching ribbon and added dew drops to accent the shape of the circle. For the inside, I used the Butterfly quote from Hans Christian Anderson on the inside. It is one of my favorites and I know that you will love it too! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope that you enjoyed the bountiful butterflies from DRS and please go and check them out!

Whoever Said "The Lazy Days of Summer" Was a Big Fat Liar!

Swim lessons, ballet,Gymboree and add to that lunch and sleep!!! Yikes... I am busier in the summer than EVER!!! but I love it... and I still make time to stamp! DRS Designs and Paper Makeup both Have Challenges on Monday so here are my cards for them.
For the DRS card, I stamped the vine background on craft paper. Then I stamped the flowers in the corners and I colored them with colored pencils and gamsol and added a little bit of SHIMMERZ to the leaves. I stamped the sentiment and used a nestie to cut it out.
I really love the way this turned out and the other DT members did an awesome job with this Challenge...
Check it out here.
For Paper Makeup's Challenge... we were to use an inspiration card that was a spiral pop up. We could really let our creativity co with this one and use whatever inspired us. I Chose to so the spiral pop up technique and I used Dustin Pikes dino's to do just that! I colored them with Gamsol and colored pencils and added my Fave SHIMMERZ because really... what is a card without SHIMMERZ??? So here is the inside and the outside of that card!!! PHEW!!! Well... I gotta go and get my marathon started... Have a great day Y'all and PLEASE make time to stamp!

This DRS Saying CRACKS ME UP!

I love this card. I love the stamp from DRS & Dustin Pike and this sentiment for DRS is too MUCH! This just makes me giggle! It is a pretty quick and easy card. I used my new nesties for the shape for the monkeys to stand in and I cuttlebugged the background. I golored the monkeys with gamsol and colored pencils and added some shimmerz to the ears and tummies for a little dimension. I stamped the phrase, cut it out and raised it up with pop dots... pretty quick... but so funny! What a great card to
send a friend to lift their spirit! Have a good one y'all and heed the phrase... I believe I will!

I want her HAIR for my Birthday!!!

Yeah... it's my birthday. I want two things... cake and this little fairy's hair! I got these sparkles back in New York when I was home for Christmas and I had no occasion to use them until The Greeting Farm came out with these Darling Fairies! I LOVE fairies and this one needed to be blue... and she needed sparkle hair! I can always tell when I made the card or project "cool" because The Petite Diva will just LOVE LOVE LOVE it! This card was no exception! Petite Diva... like her mama can be mesmerized with shiny, sparkly things!!! I used gamsol and faber castel colored pencils to color the fairy, SHIMMERZ on her wings and then the sparkles for her hair as mentioned. I then festooned her fairyland with ribbon and felt flowers and added the sentiment with an SU rub on and viola... my card du jour... Hope you love it! And y'all can send cake...I never met cake that I did not like!

OK.. so here is what I did for this card. I cuttlebugged the blue paper in the background. I love the circle theme and in keeping with that, i cut a plain and a scallop circle from my nesites. I cuttleubgged the green one and sponged it with some ink to make the texture show up. I colored the CUTIE PIES with gamsol and faber castel colored pencils and I cut them out. I adhered them to the circles and then I added the ribbon on the pink card stock and here is my card! Please check out the DRS Designs website for all of the newest CUTIE PIES!!! Happmpfhy Eaffster! MMMOOOOOO!!!

At least, that is how I would sound if I was a cow with an Easter Basket in my mouth! This PRECIOUS stamp is from High Hopes. The cow, the ears and the basket are all different stamps. I used Gamsol and Faber Castel pencils to color the images. I sponged the clouds in the background and cut the grass out of a piece of green cardstock. I used the SU top note die as a frame. I cut the sun with my nesties and sponged the edges of the sun and the frame for depth. I painted the bunny ears with SHIMMERZ as well as the bow on the basket. I LOVE the way this turned out! High Hopes has the most darling stamps and they are wonderful to color! Thanks for stopping by and have a great Sunday! Please scroll down for the DRS Blog candy that was offered yesterday! Super fun blog hop and GREAT candy!!!

Hippity Hoppity, Easter is on it's Way!

This is one of the newest releases from DRS. This little chick stamp is so sweet and if you like to color like I do, this is one for you! I used gamsol and pencils to color the image and then I added SHIMMERZ to the egg. I think it looks like a foiled egg... ya know... the chocolate ones?I cuttlebugged the background and sponged it so that the texture would show(one of my favorite tricks) and then I cut the image out with my nesties. I used pop dots to pop up the image and then i tied the ribbon. The flowers on this card were bought at Michael's in the bride section. I got like a zillion of them in a little bucket for $4.I painted SHIMMERZ on them as well and added the rhinestones in the middle for a little sparkle! I hope that when you are making your Easter cards, you will think of DRS and check them out for all of your stamping needs!

High Hopes Bunny Belly Band Card

Oh, I love High Hopes Stamps! I love to color and these stamps let you do just that! I got this bunny stamp a while ago and I stamped and colored it and I just found it kinds laying around, abandoned! So I got out my handy dandy Scor-Pal and made a gate fold card with a belly band and slapped this little guy on there! He sure does make me feel happy for a Friday! He also makes me think of my Aunt Bunny, who also makes me smile because... no matter what... she is ALWAYS happy!!! I used Gamsol and Faber Castel pencils and colored him in and of course, I added SHIMMERZ to the egg! It always adds the right touch! I cut the ovals with my trusty Nesties and here is my card! Happy Friday and try to smile today... no matter what!

When Pigs Fly!!! Hey... Wait a Minute!

I made this card for the challenge over at the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog to create a card with any type of fold besides the regular fold. So I did a double gate fold card with a belly band and I used this gorgeous little flying pig stamp from Stamp Oasis. I used my awesome Scor Pal to make the folds in the belly band and the card! What??? you don't have a Scor Pal??? And why not? I love this thing and it is on my stamp table all of the time... the best part???Diana, the owner and INVENTOR of this little miracle! She is a DREAM to work with and she has the kindest heart of anyone! Check them out... then BUY ONE...

So, Like I was saying... I stamped this little guy and colored him with gamsol and faber castell pencils. Then I added SHIMMMERZ to the wings and the moon and some of the little stars in the background. I cuttlebugged my top note die cut and cut it in half.I cut the image and the background out with my nesties and decorated the inside of the card as well. I punched some stars out and painted them with SHIMMERZ as well. Here it is! I hope you like it!
Thanks for looking and if you get the chance to
play along... Check out the link for
They have some really fun things!

I LOVE Paper Makeup stamps! I love the owner, Katie and all of the other gals on the Paper Makeup Stamps (PMS... HEE HEE HEE) paper craft planet chat! What a friendly bunch of gals and such talent! I made this card for the Bling Challenge over at the PMS blog. It was to use some type of bling in your creation... yeah... NO PROBLEM!!! I used this precious little Emma Fairy stamp and colored her with copics and gamsol and colored pencils... I added SHIMMERZ to the umbrella, stickles to the wings and glitter and gel pens everywhere else! For the pink butterflies, I painted the paper with SHIMMERZ, let it dry and then punched them out and adhered them to the card and popped the wings to make them 3-D.I added some heart lace to the pink ribbon and then added that to the pink and white polka dot paper. The dots have glitter in them too... so here is my creations... Check out PMS and I know this is the kind of PMS you will enjoy!!!

AND FIND IT I DID!!! Look at this precious stamp! It is from Stamp Oasis and they have some REALLY cute things over there! I colored this one with all of the things I could find! Copics, gamsol and pencils gel pens and glitter pens... and how stinking cute is it? I LOVE the raccoon at the top... and the smiley purple flowers! I used some really neat background paper that I got at M's for 99 cent on clearance and a clear round tag with a rub on I had laying around the house! Then I found these tiny little buttons that my sweet little mommy gave me and I thought that was a great touch! Thanks for stopping by and please go and check out this site! The shipping was sooo fast and not at all expensive and for every $20 you spend you get a free stamp! HOORAY FREE!!!
