Another Amazing Sweet Pea Offering

This is a stamp that Sweet Pea Stamps offers...here are the details:
Elaine Cox's sheet 14 (plate 84)

I just adore these stamps and I love all of the unique artists that are offered at SWEET PEA STAMPS. Elaine Cox's designs have caught my eye because they are so very detailed and I LOVE that !I also love to detail them more after I have colored them in. For this image, I colored her face and hair with copic markers, and the water was done with water color crayons. Then I used glitter and gel pens to accent the water and her tail. I also colored over her tail with Shimmerz and I added Crystal Effects to the water for some extra shine. For the pearls in her hair, I used my viva decor pen. I used Nesties in the background for the pink lattice circles and here is my creation. I  used some cuttle bug strips to emboss the top and bottom to make it look like bubbles. Here is my creation and I hope that you love this! Thanks for popping in!

Another Gorgeous Stamp!

This is another gorgeous stamp available from Sweet Pea Stamps. I have had a roaring headache for a few days but I wanted to post this gorgeous stamp and show the card that i made it into...
I colored it with my water color crayons. First I scribbled them onto paper and then I picked up the color with a water color brush to color my image. Then when that was done i added shimmerz to her hair and of course stickles and paper flowers and here is my creation! Thanks for popping in... time for some more aspirin...

Here is my take on the Sketch using the stamp set BIRDSONG...
This was a fun and easy sketch... keeping it simple, for me, is a challenge itself! I love the color combo and I used the Rock and Roll technique on the flowers to get purple and green on the flowers at the same time. Thanks for popping in!~

Good thing I am a fan and have like every color because I used alot of them! Then I used Log Cabin Smooch Spritz for the embossed square panel... and that is shimmery too! The flowers have glittery brads on them and I had to quit there otherwise... this card would have been totally crazy with glitter and bling!

Woodware USA Mermaid Easel Gift Card

I made this super cute easel card by using my nesties for the fun shape and my WOODWARE USA stamps! I LOVE mermaids... I kinda like to think i used to be one... but that is a whole other post... ANYWAY...I stamped her on neenah paper and colored her with my copic makers. I added Teal Shimmerz to her tail... cuz, she is a MERMAID and they HAVE sparkly tails ya know! Then I thought that this would make the cutest gift card holder just by slipping one in there... so I used a rub on that I had that had that sentiment of a GIFT FOR YOU! Who doesn't like to see that? Well... thanks for popping in and keep your eyes peeled as we will be announcing the WWUSA DT and I am sure that there will be festivities to follow!

A Sunny Hello! With ARTful Inkables SUNBUST DANDIES

I LOVE this set from ARTful Inkables so much that I think I am gonna marry it! This card was quick and simple and I just adore the way it came out... soft and pretty and Clean and SIMPLE.Yep... Me... I did a clean and simple! Anyway, I used the Sunburst Dandies set and this took me about 10 minutes to create. With the hazy, CRAZY days of summer... ya gotta like that! I stamped the pink part of the flowers and then I embossed over them with white EP and then I stamped the sentiment. The stems on the flowers are stamps and the "grass" is simply lines that I made with my marker. I went over the grass with shimmerz and here is my creation. Thanks for poppin in... have a sunny day!

If I Was Ever A Mermaid...

I wanna look like this! I got my Sweet Pea stamps in the mail... OK I got MORE stamps in the mail and here is the card that I made. I of course used copic markers, gel and glitter pens, shimmerz and sparkly paper. I didn't have the right colors, So I colored it with my copics and the result was AWESOME!!! I then punched the "coral" with Martha Stewart punches andused it as my "frame" around my card.I am really LOVING the Sweet Pea Stamps and how fun they are to work with! I use all of my blingy things to make them sparkle and I really just let go and create! Check them out... the prices are very reasonable and the images are awesome... and I get RED RUBBER!!! I am not great at Digis... so it is so nice to know that I can get high quality red rubber! I guess it is the smell... or maybe the feel of it in my hands... or that I am a hoarder at heart and the more stamps the better... ANYWAY... thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Mr Mailman... You are SAFE!!!

My Sweet Pea stamps came. So Mr. Mailman... don't worry... I won't chase you down the street anymore! I made this card using the Shining On stamp that Sweet Pea is offering for the Haiti relief effort. The money raised will go to Doctors Without Borders. I love that! I used my copics to color her in and I used the colors in this weeks copic color challenge. I added some sparkly doo dads to the outside and I got to play with all of my sparkly stuff... so I LOVED that! I am very pleased with the way she came out and I will be coloring more of these! I love coloring images... it is very therapeutic for me and I just let my mind go and create... LOVE that! Thanks for stopping by!

An Oldie But a Goodie!

In more ways than one!!! Yesterday, the Paper Makeup DT was chatting about age and I came across Dreck...and that was pretty much the look I had on my face when I turned 40! I made this car a looooong time ago and I just thought is was appropriate given our choice of chatting yesterday! I used copic markers, SHIMMERZ and ribbon ,as you can see...
Well...that is it... pretty short and sweet... but just one more thing... 40 is NOT that bad!!!I am 2 years into it and that look has gone from my face... mostly!

Paper Makeup Monday Inspiration Challenge

Our Challenge was to make a card based on a cake from this website.
I chose this cake and this stamp... the Tooth Fairy...from Paper Makeup. I Love how this turned out and I tried to incorporate all of the elements from the cake to make this card. i love how the card looks and making the grid on the bottom of the card was so simple with my Scor-Pal... I have no idea how the cake people did it! I used stickles, liquid pearls and of course... SHIMMERZ! The little paper flowers on the card are my new favorite embellishment and I am really enjoying using them!
I hope you are all getting ready for our blog hop and new release sneak peeks... These are going to be awesome and I had a blast creating my cards... can't wait for you all to see the new Fairy's, word art and a new look in stamps called Moody Girls... Stay tuned to see what they are all about! Thanks for checking out my blog and go and check out the other DT members creations... those girls have MAD SKILLZ!!!(am I to old to say that???)
Anyway... Happy Monday y'all!

Yehaw Y'all!

I love horses. I love everything about them... I don't even mind cleaning stalls...they just make my soul happy. When I got this awesome stamp form DRS... I was so happy and I said out loud (to no one...) "WOW, they did it again!" Meaning... DRS came up with a new batch of wonderful stamps and this one tops my favorites list! For the first card, I used this gorgeous horse head stamp and stamped it in the same color ink as the paper for a subtle background effect. I added my most favorite saying and used ink to distress the edges of the paper. ( This saying is great for graduation cards too!)
Then I punched out the little flowers and added a little bit of bling for the center, and that was it! Simple... but I really love the look of the horses "running" in the background.

For this next card, I used the horse stamp also. This time I embossed it in gold on black paper for a more dramatic effect. When I used my die to cut the shape, I thought that this really looked like a wanted poster! I mounted the black onto a piece of brown that I stamped with an easy background stamp to make it look like weathered wood. Then I tore and distressed another paper to mount that on. Last was the brown matt and the scrolls in the corner for a little flair. I really love how these cards came out and how I can make two totally different cards with the same awesome stamp! It makes my creativity and my stamping dollars really stretch!
Please check out the "Cards For Heros" badge on my sidebar. Get all the details on how to help make this a happier holiday season for our troops!

DRS Monday Challenge... Diorama Cards...

This card was made for the challenge over at the DRS Blog. It was to make a diorama card... they look tricky... but they are really easy to do and they get lots of ooohhs and aaahhs!
I used several shades of purple and the inner layer is pink. I used a nestie to make the opening and had to add some bling in the corners! I used the 3 flowers with butterfly stamp and cut the flowers out and added them to the pink layer.I painted them with SHIMMERZ and I thought the gem in the middle was just the right touch!I stamped the flower silhouette in the background and added the sentiment. For the front panel, I stamped the branch silhouette background stamp. If you would like to play along with the challenge... we would love to have you do that! Just go to the DRS Blog and be sure to link your card! Thanks for stopping by!

DRS Does it AGAIN!

It seems that DRS Designs has a stamp for everything and this is no exception!
I LOVE that I can make a retirement card... they are pretty hard to find for under $5 and i can buy this sentiment for around that (unmounted ) and make the cards for men or women in whatever colors or patterns I want to! LOVE that!!! That is just the ultimate for the control freak in me!!! I also used this super cute golf image to customize this for my friend that plans on spending his retirement this way... on the sunny links in North Carolina! I think that the bright colors are perfect for my friend and really compliment the way I colored the image in! Thanks for popping by and stay tuned for some AWESOME sneak peeks coming next week from DRS!!!
