Brigid Ashwood's Steam Punk Bee...so COOL!!!

I have never ever in my whole life heard of Steam Punk...I mean I know who Sid Vicious was and all of that... But Steam Punk? Clueless. Well, Then Sweet Pea Stamps offered this gorgeous stamp and I am ALL OVER THIS TREND! I even have an embossing folder that has that theme (which  I used for this card). OH... and then i found some DP that matched and when i sanded it... the clocks showed up even better! i LOVE when that happens!!! I love the whole mechanical look of this image. I colored it with watercolors, gel and glitter pens and I had these brads that fit the theme perfectly. you can go to Sweet Pea Stamps and Check them out... My Wish Came True!!! I Made IT!!! Oh Yeah... Blog Candy to Celebrate!

I did it! I am on the Sweet Pea Design Team!!!! Yeah for me! I will so totally too my own horn here because I ADORE these stamps! I have loved them since they have some out... well since I found them...and now I am on the Design Team! Yeah!!! I made this card using Brigid Ashwood's Phunky Pharies. I colored her with copics for her skin and water colors for the rest. I added some details with glitter and gel pens. The embellies were fun... ribbons, buttons and one tiny fairy sized orange clothes pin!

Sweet Pea Holly Fairy...in Purple and Green!

How much can I LOVE these stamps? I bought my first one a while ago when I saw one on my blog friend, Danni's blog... and I have not stopped buying them since! I colored her with copic markers and used gel and glitter pens to highlight her in her wings and those gorgeous expressive eyes!

This stamp is ching chou kuik's Holly Fairy and she is currently on sale on the Sweet Pea Store site! I think the coolest thing about these stamps is that you can color them however you want to and they always come out so stunning! Plus... if you get lost like I do sometimes and have NO idea how to color them...there are PLENTY of suggestions on the website and the blog! SISC37~Luscious Lace! The Fabric of our Lives…

This was a fun challenge over at Stamp Insanity... use LACE! Well... I have a whole drawer full... so no problem there! I used Morgan and colored her with copic markers. Then I jazzed up my tree with stickles and gel and glitter pens. I added stickles to her outfit as well for a little holiday glam! I cuttlebugged the background and sprayed it with smooch spritz. I sponged it first for depth.I added my lace and added more stickles to the bottomto tie all the colors together. I hate that my post is late... I have had a horrible sinus infection,2 sick children one out of town hubby and a sisiter in my spare room! The hubby is home and the sister is gone(sniff) but the infection lingers on...for me and the babies... oh well...

 Here is a place I would like to go for a week...for some rest... but lo...it has closed...

Worcester State Hospital

On January 12, 1833, the first public asylum for the insane in Massachusetts was opened in the scenic hills of Worcester. It was called the Bloomingdale Asylum, and by the latter half of the 19th century, it was already overcrowded beyond capacity. Funds were appropriated to construct a larger and more grandiose hospital called the Worcester Insane Asylum in the same vicinity.

The hospital still functions as a psychiatric facility in a large, newer building near the Kirkbride building, which now threatens to close as well.

Paper Makeup,s New Release Blog Hop...

Well... It is that time again! Paper Makeup's April release is here...and it is PRECIOUS!!! This release has so many fun images including fairy's, monsters and FOOD! The image I am featuring comes from the TINA'S KITCHEN set.I used my copics to color and then I detailed the image with glitter and gel pens for some sass! Sweet Pea Stamps Fairy Card

OOOOOHHH!!! I LOVE coloring these images. This is another card that I made using the stamps from Sweet pea Stamps. Y'all... I LOVE to color these stamps and I consider it therapy when I do! It makes me so happy and I just love all of the beautiful images that Lynette, the owner, offers. I used my copics,gel pens and glitter pens to color this in and then I added all of the flowers and dew drops to embellish this card. I love the soft pallette of colors and the wings look so plush. I used my nesties to cut out the flourishes and then I sponged them in for some depth. I hope you enjoyed this card! I have red hair... and when I grow up (or when I come to) I wanna look like her! I used punches and die cuts and liquid pearls and shimmerz and glitter and all kinds of fun stuff...

Everything is Going GREEN at DRS

I was just in Savannah (one of my FAVE cities) and they have the second largest St. Patty's Day celebration in the nation...AND I think that DRS has the FIRST most awesome and adorable St. Patty's Day stamps! This is one of the new images that they are releasing and I love love LOVE IT! It is not that easy to find a fun St. Pat's stamp and I think Hatful of Shamrocks fits the bill. I know that I can get carried away with green, so I used a yellow background with the shamrock easy background stamp for the first layer. Then I stamped and colored my image with copics and gel and glitter pens. I added this sentiment also from DRS and here is my card. Quick and easy and super St. Patty!!! No, She Isn't Cold...

I made her blue on purpose. I used another AWESOME stamp by Sweet Pea Stamps and made this super fun card! I love the bling and the fun stars on this card! I think thatshe looks lovely in pale blue... almost like she is in the shadows or something! I used a quickutz embossing background and sponged it so the embossing would show up. I added the stars and the corners and then I had to bling it all out with my crustal swirls and the purple gems in the corner. I added the spheres in the background using shimmerz paints and then I highlighted them with a white gel pen. for the sparkle ion her hair I added glitter pens and here is my creation. I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I enjoy coloring this awesome stamps! thanks for stopping by!

If I Was Ever A Mermaid...

I wanna look like this! I got my Sweet Pea stamps in the mail... OK I got MORE stamps in the mail and here is the card that I made. I of course used copic markers,gel and glitter pens, shimmerz and sparkly paper. I didn't have the right colors, So I colored it with my copics and the result was AWESOME!!! I then punched the "coral" with Martha Stewart punches andused it as my "frame" around my card.I am really LOVING the Sweet Pea Stamps and how fun they are to work with! I use all of my blingy things to make them sparkle and I really just let go and create! Check them out... the prices are very reasonable and the images are awesome... and I get RED RUBBER!!! I am not great at Digis... so it is so nice to know that I can get high quality red rubber! I guess it is the smell... or maybe the feel of it in my hands... or that I am a hoarder at heart and the more stamps the better... ANYWAY... thanks for stopping and have a great day!

What a Little Cutie Pie!

This little cutie pie kid is from DRS DESIGNS... and he is PERFECT for Valentines day! Their whole line of Cutie Pies is darling and there is a cutie pie for EVERY occasion! He is so sweet and shy with his little flower for that special gal. I LOVE the precious look on his face... so sweet. I colored this image with gamsol and Faber Castel colored pencils for a soft, pastel look. I used my nesties for the hearts on the front and the shape of the card as well.I used gel pens and glitter pens for the accents and here is my sweet, simple card from DRS. CUUUUUUTE KITTY!!!

I LOVE this darling little Kitty from DRS... and I thought

she would make the perfect shaker card and I was right!(lol). I stamped the kitty and colored her with copic markers,gel pens,and glitter pens.Then I put the shaker card together. I thought the confetti was really cute too. You cant really see it here... but there are butterflies and smiley faces! I thought that was pretty cheerful! This sentiment is soon to be retired... so get it while you can... but I thought it was perfect ... for me anyway!!! Double Duty Duckie!

Again, I love to combine the Midnight Madness Challenge and the Copic color challenge! So here is my guy. I did not have the EXACT colors, but I was close and they let ya substitute! and at the Midnight Madness challenge, they are having a drawing for some pretty hefty blog candy! So please check it out! PMS Monday Challenge...BLING!!!

OOOOHHHH... I love me some BLING! This card was made with the new releases from Paper Makeup, which I am sure that you have ALL ordered my now, and the Monday Challenge was BLING! Anything that glimmers, sparkles, SHIMMERZ and Shines! Right up my alley! I used my new nesties and cut out the shaped that this darling Paper Makeup fairy is on... I colored her with copic markers and SHIMMERZ and glitter pens for the fine detail. I bought a HUGE flourish made out of Rhinestones at M's and i cut it up for this card! Better size wise and money wise too! I used my MS doily punch and a SU rub on and here is my card! Play along with the Paper Makeup challenge and don't forget to link your card so we can all see it! Can't wait to see what you all create!

A Giggling Butterfly, a Little Bit of Lace and a Whole Lot of Smiles!

I made this card for ... ME!!! I love coloring and

my BSF (Best Stamping Friend) Nancy, got this stamp and I had so much fun putting this card together! I love the colors, the "you make me laugh" sentiment and the lace! I LOVE IT ALL!!!

I had buttons that matched and string that did not, so I used a super skinny piece of paper for "thread!" Of course, there is SHIMMERZ all over this card and ribbon galore... and I LOVE IT!!! This little stamp is from THE GREETING FARM and the paper is from SU! Gel pens, glitter pens, nesties, sponging... I used ALL the tricks I got! I hope that you love it! I will be in New York for my Momma's 80th birthday... but i have scheduled posts and I would love for you all to keep checking in! Uhhh.... YEAH it Was A Lot of Coloring! (but worth it!)

I got both of these stamps (the fairy and the castle) from Faeiry Art Stamps. They were on sale and I CANNOT resist a good sale! So I bought them and then I stuffed them in a drawer. Well, I needed to break them out and do something wonderful with them and here is what I did! i colored everything with my copics and I added SHIMMERZ ALL over the place!I cut out the Fairy and popped her up with foam dots for dimension. I cut out the castle and mounted it on black, and then onto the green... but the green was lacking something! I KNOW... EMBOSSING! I got out my favorite swirl stamp and embossed it with gold EP and then I mounted my castle and fairy onto it. MUCH BETTER! I used my gel and glitter pens for highlights and detail. Let me tell you... this was A LOT of coloring and cutting... but well worth it! I love the way this turned out and it was really fun to do. My last name is Knight... so the castle and fairy thing really does it for me! I hope this one inspires you to get out the stamps that you shoed in a drawer and never did anything with! Look what I came up with!
