Woodware Color Challenge... Kraft, Red and Your Choice!

So I chose white! I am a card maker that tends to get a little carried away with the bling and glitz on a card... so I was really happy when I came up with this! I love the look... the technique is fun and it is still a clean looking card! I punched some flowers with my new SU dial a punch and adhered them to the crumb cake card stock... AKA craft. Then I ran it through the cuttlebug in an embossing folder and I got this super cool card! Whee!!! I tied the red and white polka dot ribbon and added the sentiment from Birdsong... and here it is! I hope that you like this look and will try this technique...AND don't forget to play along with us at WOODWARE USA this week... what color will you choose?

another Whip it Out Wednesday

This is the hardest working card in blog land! It is 2 SCS challenges and my unloved set used for my very own Challenge, Whip it Out Wednesday(WOW). This was for color challenge ccc23 and sketch challenge SC219. I used an old hostess set Spring Solitude that came with a wheel that I used on the Baja Blue background! I used the Markers on the bird, leaves and branch and the word window punch for the phrase. I love using my SU sets for WOW because SU is why I started stamping anyway... and I really love all of the sets I own! If you want to play along with the WOW challenge... PLEASe do and link your creation to this blog and I will show them off... Thanks for stopping by and Please have a good one and don't be afraid to just Whip it out!!!

Good Rosey Rooster to ya!

WHAT???!!! I made this card a little while ago and have not posted it yet. I LOVE the Impression Obsession stamps and Leigh Hannan is my favorite artist over there! I have been looking at these stamps on line and just could NOT justify (to my hubby at least) why I NEEDED them. Well, I am luck enough to live by the best stamp store in North Carolina... Stampers Alley... and she had them for 30% off... and no shipping!!! No time to justify... I had to SHOP!
I embossed this Rooster in detail gold embossing powder and then I set to coloring him in! I used SU ink and a water color brush and here is my result. I thought the background paper was perfect and the scrolls and dots look like a marquis in New Orleans (to me at least). I am not sure if there is a Rosey Rooster Holiday... but if there is ... have I got THE card for it!!!

"The stockings were hung...

...by the chimney with care!" And i should know, I was the one that hung them! this super fun card features DRS Designs stamps. I stamped the fireplace on white cardstock and colored it in with copic markers. I added stickles for the flames on the logs and on the candles. I cut out the image and adhered it to the River Rock CS from SU. Before I adhered the fireplace, I stamped the easy star background from DRS.

I stamped 3 little stockings and water colored them in. Then I used liquid applique for the cuff and used the heat tool to puff them up! They look so fluffy and they are ready to be filled with Christmas treats. I cut them out as well and used a pop dot to adhere them to the fireplace, with care of course, and then i added a little tiny gem to make it look like a nail.

I stamped the sentiment from DRS as well and mounted it underneath the fireplace. It is on there straight in real life, but the photo makes it look a little wonky. I hope you will take a look at the easy backgrounds from DRS as the are FOOL PROOF! That is a lifesaver for me! (lol)Thanks for looking and stay tuned for all of my Christmas cards from DRS...
