Snug as Two Bugs Kissing Under a Flower!!!

Oh, are you even kidding me??? How UTTERLY
ADORABLE IS THIS IMAGE!!! This is from
Alota Stamps. The first time I ordered from them was
so easy... one click... it is in the basket... another click... It was in the mailbox... Yeah, that fast! I stamped the image and colored it with my copics and then added SHIMMERZ (well, DUH!) and crystal effects, for the wings. I cut the image out and mounted it to the white base. Near the bottom of the flower, I added Flower Soft with crystal effects... that stuff is pretty cool! I used my glitter and gel pens for the details. I punched the heart border with the MS punch and added the ribbon. With my nesties, I cut the ovals and added the sentiment that is am oldie but a goodie from SU. and here is the finished result. I hope that you will check out Alota rubber stamps as their stuff is really cute! Have a great day and remember to check my blog for the Club Anya Kick off with a blog hop and tons of cool prizes!Click on the link for the details! See ya later!

Say it With Me, Girls... SHIMMERZ ROCKS!

You all know of my addiction to Shimmerz by now,
I hope... I mean... I LOVE IT! This is a background that I created for a card that was going NOWHERE!!! I cuttlebugged the background and then I sponged it to highlight the flowers. THEN... I took SHIMMERZ and BLINGZ and painted my flowers and my vines with it!!! HOW AWESOME DOES THIS LOOK!!! I knew right away that I needed this background for my failing card that I kinda put away because it was a lost cause... OR SO I THOUGHT! Look at the other photo to see how gorgeous this looks! I used my MS lace doily punch, my 'bug border and then some rhinestones to add a POP to the flowers. I LOVE that SHIMMERZ saved the day... and this card! The sentiment, "You are special to me" ... I dedicate to you, Love of my Life... My SHIMMERZ! Thanks for stopping by and remember if you can't shine... you can ALWAYS SHIMMER(z)!

Simon Says Stamp Snowman Set

SERIOUSLY!!! So many S's! I made these cards for the Simon Says Stamp Store using the Build A Snowman Set .

This first card was made by stamping the snowman in light blue ink and painting BLINGZ around his face and tummy to add dimension. I paper pieced his hat and scarf with the red paper... but first, I stamped them with Versamark and embossed them with red glitter EP. I added the swirls to the back and here he is!

For this card, I made the snowman look so happy by
making his carrot nose point in the air. I love that you can add the facial features wherever you want and whichever ones you want...totally versatile! I sponged clouds in the background and added the rhinestone snowflakes...He really DOES look happy!

This guy... maybe NOT so happy! I am Sending Sunshine (another Simon Says Stamp exclusive set) and my little snowman dude is MELTING!!! I tore pieces of white cardstock and sponged them with the blue.. I used BLINGZ on the snowman and the snow drifts because I LOVE that stuff... and I made the sun with my nesties... Well even if HE isn't happy... hopefully whoever gets this card will be!

Ya gotta love GOOGLY eyes! I added some to this guy and he makes me smile every time I look at that crazy, GOOGLY face! I cut out the boa that is also part of this fun set and painted it with SHIMMERZ and did the same for the crown. I added rhinestones to the crown as well. The snowflakes are adorned with dots and dabs of my gel and glitter pens... overall... an easy card... but surely a FUNNY one!

And... FINALLY... My snowman went to the mall and snuck into the photo booth and here are the pictures that he took! This was a really fun card to make because of the different angles of the snowman and the funny way the images came out! I added the film to the cardstock and where the swirl is... I used BLINGZ once again! This sentiment is also from the Sending Sunshine set from Simon Says Stamp! I hope that you have all enjoyed my fun cards for Simon Says Stamp day... and please go and check them out, The stamps are really nice, affordable and there are like 41 exclusive sets... what more could you ask for? Have a great day!!! and here is a little challenge! I made this set of 5 cards from one stamp set... Challenge yourself to see how many card you can come up with from one of your stamp sets!!! it is fun to stretch your creativity!!!

Lovely Little Lilac and Lavender Lass

I made this card, took a picture of it and then promptly forgot I did that! This is another Magnolia stamp and I used Shimmerz to paint my flower. I cuttlebugged everything and that which was not 'bugged got nestied!(LOL) I colored the image using copics, and then I added some interest with gel and glitter pens. I used my MS lace doily punch and the MS branch punch for the green sticky things behind the flower. I felt like she needed to say something... but what??? So I thought about what I do EVERY TIME someone gives me roses... I CHERISH them! I have them from dating my hubby, the wedding, the anniversaries to the birth of my daughter ( accompanied by jewelry!) So CHERISH was the word for this card! These magnolia images are so much fun to use and color. They are really easy to cut them out and put them where ever you want to! I also have to tell you all... I love Shimmerz as you well know... but it is AWESOME to use on primas... and wait til tomorrow til you see how I used it! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Give someone a rose today... I bet they will Cherish it!!!

DRS Challenge #13...Hand Stamped Image

Our challenge at the DRS Challenge blog was to use
a "hand stamped by:" image as our focal point. Well...
that made me put my thinking cap on! So... I thought about it and took the meaning literallyand stamped... well a HAND! This is really Petite Diva's hand and we are going to send it to her Mimi in New York. I cuttlebigged the background and added some dots to coordinate with the cuttlebug folder. The "With Love" sentiment is also a cuttlebug folder that is made especially for borders... I thought it worked really well here on this card! We live in the south and that is a long way when your grandbaby is growing up. So I thought to make the distance seem shorter... why not stamp Petite Diva's hand and have her sign it and send it to Mimi... with love , of course! I would love for you to check out what the others did with this challenge! There were some AWESOME ideas! It is great to see that you don't just have to stick these Hand Stamped stamps on the back of the card! We would love for you to play along with the challenge and you can link your creation to the DRS Challenge blog located here. Thanks for stopping by!

oh yeah... Check this out too! We're having another giveaway!!! We'll make it easier for you this week though!!! This week the prize is a roll of the best adhesive I have ever used!!! It is a roll of two sided tape (1/2" x 36 yards) and all you have to do is leave a comment on this post indicating which DRS image is your favorite! We'll draw a random winner on Sunday night Feb. 8, 2009.

A Cute Little Card!

I got this image from a friend. now, let me tell you that i am the type of gal to OWN everything... not BORROW... I NEED to have it all!(LOL). I colored this with Faber Castel pencils and gamsol. Then I used coffee SHIMMERZ on the moose and made him really have a great look about him... IRL, he looks FUZZY! I used kraft paper in the background and used the cuttlebug for the embossing. I had the blue striped paper and then, THEN... I found this cute little flower in my stash and it really pulled all of the colors together! This card just makes me smile and really, isn't that what stamping is all about!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and SMILE today!!!

Another Sweet Magnolia Card...

OK... so we are adopting a baby. I already have Petite Diva... but despite mine, my Hubby's and Medical Science's best efforts...She will be our one and only homegrown baby. We will be adding to our family this year with the miracle of adoption. This sentiment of "DREAM" is perfect for this card and our family as adoption has always been our DREAM. The little gal holding the baby looks like Petite Diva... so I made the shirt her favorite color, YELLOW! I think this card may even be her "I am a big sister" announcement. I colored it with so many things... copics, gamsol and faber castel pencils and of course... SHIMMERZ. I used them on the wings, the headband and the green in the sneakers. I used a sketch from SCS and my cuttlebug. I also added details with gel pens and glitter pens. I had the yellow flower and I thought it added the right touch. I don't know gals, this is a pretty sweet card as well... I may have to offer a dental plan!(LOL) thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

I am Gettin' a Cavity...

...from how sweet this card is! I was in New York when
someone at the LSS said to me "Have you seen these
Whipper Snapper Stamps?"Uh... NO!!! They are gorgeous! I LOVE this little guy. Here is what I did to make this card. I colored him with gamsol and Faber Castel pencils and of COURSE... I used (say it with me) SHIMMERZ on the wings and the sash! I used my oval nesties to cut Cupid out and for the mat behind him. This is SU DSP. LOVE this paper...and the colors just worked so well for this card. Then I got out the MS punches... LOVE THEM!!! I punched the hearts and mounted them on small scallop circles that I sponged. I popped them up for dimension. Next... I used my MS heart edge punch! LOVE IT! I wanted the hearts to show up... so I mounted white paper behind the hearts so they would show up. Then... once again... SHIMMERZ! I sponged it on the red card stock...Angel Wings... how appropriate! And here is my sugary sweet, cavity causing Valentine's Day card!!! Thanks for looking...now GO AND BRUSH!!!

The town shuts down, there is not a jug of milk or an egg to be seen in ANY grocery store...and don't you DARE leave your house!!! All that snow is just TREACHEROUS!!!I really made this card for a DT call at Shimmerz. I am sure all of you that read my blog know by now that I LOVE THIS STUFF! I could just eat it! I colored this image with my copic markers and put Shimmerz on her pom pom, fur around her hat and boots and her wings. I used OPAL. I also sponged December Sky Blingz around the edges of the card.I used my nesties to cut the sky and layered it on the dark blue and adhered my image... I love the way this came out and i hope that you will love this too...thanks for stopping by and stay out of the snow! I know I will!!!

SImon Says STAMP...

So stamp I did~~~ I am a new design team member for Simon Says Stamp and I get to play with the exclusive line of Simon Says Stamp Clear stamps and Make cards!!! A DREAM job! I stamp EVERY night and I LOVE being creative so how lucky am I!
For this first card I colored the bird in with copics and used my nesties to cut him out and mat him. I thought the color combo was fun and I sponged it with my silver encore pad to make the cuttlebugged swirls show up!

For the love birds... I colored the birds with copics
and then I went over them with Shimmerz because I love that stuff so much I could eat it as you all well know by now! I used my cuttlebug border punch and my scallop edge punch for the red and pink in the middle, and I used my MS doily punch for the edge. I added these super cute little rhinestone flowers for the "bling" factor... and here is card number 2.
"Shimmerz on your tummy, Shame on you!" That is
what I should be singing to my birdies and they all have Shimmerz on their bellies! It looks like they have been in my craft room! I used my nesties and copics here as well and I added the prima flower in the corner as I am so ready for spring! We even got cold in the south last night! I love the pink and green combo and the sentiment is perfect. it is part of this Simon Says Stamp set A Little Birdie Told Me...
For this card, I combined 2 images from the "A Little birdie Told Me" set. I stamped the bird and then I added the nest to the branch... I love the look of the images used that way! Nesties and copics again, and of course Shimmerz on the bird. I used my SU flower punch to make the flowers myself this time. I layered them and added the brad in the middle to hole them together. I of course used my gel pen and my new MS doily edge punch (which I am loving... by the way!) Some sponging around the edge for depth... and here is this card... number 4.
Lastly, this one was so simple... I hate to give it away!!! I stamped and colored the bird with copics. I cut out the image... added some punched branches and adhered it all to a piece of patterned paper. HOW EASY WAS THAT!!! but I love the look of the card! I think this little birdie fits in the scene perfectly!
So that is my post for today! Please have a look at Simon Says Stamp and check out their stamps... they also have plenty of goodies at their store... so get a cup of coffee and settle in for a look around. Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!

VIVA Las Vegas! Anya Hits the Stage!

This was yet another fashion attempt by me for the contest over at The Greeting Farm. This was just FUN FUN FUN to do! I Stamped my Darling Anya and colored her with my copics, of course. The I painted Coffee Shimmerz on her hair... Love the gleam it gives her... like the stage lights would! Then I cut some flourishes out of some patterned paper and adhered it to her to look like a showgirl outfit and of course ... THE HEADPIECE! I could not be a Vegas showgirl because my neck is so delicate... ( and my BUTT is so BIG!) I added stickles to the headband and gel pen to the nesties cut out. The patterned paper in the background came all pre glittered and I thought it fit her really well!

Please go and check out the fashion show gallery over at The Greeting Farm and see what these ladies have created. They are more than cards... they are MATERPIECES! Everyone's work is just fantastic! Thanks for stopping by and on the way to the stamp room tonight... do a few High Kicks for the showgirl that lives in ALL OF US!

Before I get to my post I just want to give a heads up! Starting today, DRS Designs is the proud sponsor of the Card Positioning Systems Blog (CPS)!!! Be sure to stop by and check out what their fabulous designers have done with our stamps!! I can't wait to see what you do with their sketch for the week too!!!

You can make them any color to match your design! You can emboss them, color them, cut them out...even stamp them on polyshrink plastic and shrink 'em! they are FUN! Here I embossed 3 of them to go along with the fun sentiment. After I cut them out, I punched a slot and ran the ribbon through it to place them on the card! Want some of your own? Check this candy out...
*** In addition to the inspiration, you'll see that one lucky participant in the challenge will be eligible to win some ribbon slides for their very own! Anyone can partipate as long as you use some kind of ribbon slide for your focal point. On Sunday, January 25 one random winner will be drawn from all the entries. The winner will win a selection of ribbon slides...BUT...if the winner also used DRS Designs stamps in their project, they will win an even bigger selection of slides! We really hope you play along. Be sure to use DRSC12 if you upload your creation to a public gallery. Remember, the only way to be entered in the drawing is to post a direct link to your creation on THIS post...***

Under the Sea Fashion Show!

I made this card for an Anya fashion show at The Greeting Farm (formerly Pink Poison). The idea was to take one of these wonderful Anya stamps and dress her up somehow. I took individual sequins and pasted them on her tail. Then I added 2 shells to cover her assets and painted them with Key Lime Shimmerz...(how I LOVE my Shimmerz!) I cut out some seaweed and painted that with Shimmerz as well. I cuttlebugged the fish and guess what is on them? Shimmerz!!! I used crystal effects and drew some sea looking squiggles and put metal micro beads all over it to adhere them and give them dimension! I put all of this on Dovecraft paper that you can find here at my friend Susana's store. She is the only one in the US to carry this gorgeous paper. So here is my Mermaid all decked out! This was a fun challenge and I felt like I was on Project Runway! So fun! Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Another Wonderful Whiff...

...of Joy, that is! These stamps are just precious! I got the stamps
before the holidays and now i am just getting a chance to play with them! I colored this little gal with copics and then I used Shimmerz on her coat and shoes and stickles on her cuffs, pom poms and fur around her face. I cuttlebugged (i didn't know that was a verb!) the background and sponged it so the embossing would show up a little bit better. I cut 3 circles and layered them and perched her there... she needed somewhere to stand! I layered the prima flowers and did the brad and the center of the flower with stickles. I punched out the sentiment by SU , sponged it and added the dots to it... and here she is! I love the way this turned out... and the look on her face... she just makes me smile... and that is what it's all about!
Thanks for poppin' in ... have a happy day everyone!

New Stamps? LET ME AT 'EM!

That's right! DRS Designs has just released a whole bunch of new stamps! Here is a card using the new giga heart circle. This stamp fits perfectly in the Giga punch from marvy. Just stamp it and then punch it out and it is ready to go. I embossed mine with white embossing powder. Then I used the ribbon slide bow. Again... super easy, Just stamp it, cut it out and add it to the ribbon. The best embellishment ever! You can use any color card stock or even add some sparkle like I did here with Shimmerz. Next I embossed 2 of the silhouette love hearts on black and cut them out. I layered the card and used a fun corner punch and here is my creation! Check out the DRS Designs Challenge blog and play along with some of the challenges. We have some good ones on there and we would love to see your work! Thanks for stopping by!

SMOOCH SMOOCH (giggle giggle)

How sweet is this? He is ALL kissy face and she is GIGGLING? Too cute! I Stamped and colored these darling Magnolia stamps with copic markers. Next, I cut them out and made them sit on this piece of ribbon layered over the red cardstock that I embossed with my cuttlebug border embossing folders. I used the SU Scallop edge punch and added some sponging and dots for dimesnion.I embossed and sponged the green cardstock at the bottom of the page and layered the whole thing over the piece of patterned paper in the background. I LOVE the "always" sentiment... It just seemed to fit this card. I layered that as well and of course... more sponging and dots. I hope you like it... This is a quick post today as I am off to work... Here is a question... does anyone know what I do??? See ya tomorrow...

Corny... I know...
I gotta say... I LOVE this card! I have had this stamp for a while and with the holidays and being out of town, it was hard for me to be able to get my stamping fix... so I am back in full swing now! I colored her with copics and then cut her out. I used my new nesties and cut the pink and white to give my little gal somewhere to sit! I went COMPLETELY crazy with the prima flowers and used a rhinestone brad to hold them all together. I used my Martha Stewart punch to add the twiggy things behind the flowers. I used a SU sentiment that I thought really went GREAT with this card, used the SU wide oval punch, sponging and glitter pens to dress it up. I used my Cuttlebug for the background and here she is. OH YEAH... SHIMMERZ!!! Did you all know that you can paint them on prima flowers? Get ready to see these ALL over my blog! I LOVE what the shimmerz did to the primas... beautiful! The "Thank You" Cards for all of the Gifts!

Yup... we all have to do it! Make thank you cards for all of the splendid gifts that we received for the holiday season! I used a faerie stamp from Susana's store and some GORGEOUS Dovecraft paper that she sells as well... I LOVE the pink and grey combo and thought it was lovely! I colored the image with copic markers and added shimmerz to her hat, socks and the dots on her dress! I love the sparkle it adds to the cards! So pretty! I stamped the Thanks sentiment form and OLD SU set and added the dots and the sponging for some depth. I cut the pink paper with the SU scallop edge punch and added the ribbon and the dots to pull everything together! This sweet little Faerie really does look thankful! I know I am thankful to y'all for stopping by!

OK... I love goldfish. I really think I used to be one or maybe a mermaid and my best friend was a fish??? Anyway, they call to me! So when I saw this set... I knew I had to have the darn thing! It comes with a bowl, all of the fish bowl accessories and the fish themselves! You can create your own scene! SO I DID... let me tell ya how!
First, I cut a circle and did the medallion thing with a NEW corner punch I got for Christmas. Then I stamped the fish in their bowl and added the castle, coral and streamers. I colored them with copics and of course had to add my FAVE new product, SHIMMERZ, that you can get at my friend Susana's store.I love to order with her because you ALWAYS get a little extra in the order, she is very generous! I ran the green through the cuttlebug to make the textured background and sponged it . I thought this ribbon was the perfect match, so I cut a slide with my cuttlebug and wrote the sentiment on their myself! (a very bold move as I do not like my hand writing AT ALL!) A few dots were added with glitter and gel pens and here is my creation! This card was fun to make and I hope you try some of the new products that I mentioned here, like SHIMMERZ... you will LOVE it!

Check out this blog candy!

Holiday "THANKS!"

This card was for my challenge over at Mothers and Daughters Creations. I got into town a little bit late and did not get it posted in time on their blog... but I wanted to make sure I posted it here. I used an image from Rachel Anne Miller and colored it with my copic markers. I accented the fur on the hat and the pom pom with liquid applique. I used glitter and gel pens to add highlights and then I cut everything out with my NESTIES! I got a bunch of them for Christmas and I am LOVING them!
I used a cuttlebug die for the ribbon slide and a punch for the white square. I added prima flowers and some lovely ribbon and here is my creations! i wanted to add that I used DAISY BUCKET paper and it is WONDERFUL! the colors and the texture really makes it fun to work with! Head over to MDC and see the lovely line of papers that they carry! Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
