We are back from the weekend for another challenge here at Woodware USA, and it is to use a sentiment as your focus. Sometimes we forget about the words, so this week is all about what you are saying! The sentiment doesn't have to be large to take center stage as evidenced by our design team samples today!

I hope you were able to catch the news about our partnership with StampingScrapping.com. You can now purchase Woodware USA through that site along with other fabulous tools and embellishments and everything else under the sun!

This is my card for the challenge this week... I used the peel off stickers on patterned paper, cut them out... arranged them and added my sentiment that is from the set Fairy Tots...How cute is that? I hope that you enjoyed this card and if you are looking for my blog candy... it is here...

ANYWAY...I stamped her on neenah paper and colored her with my copic makers. I added Teal Shimmerz to her tail... cuz, she is a MERMAID and they HAVE sparkly tails ya know! Then I thought that this would make the cutest gift card holder just by slipping one in there... so I used a rub on that I had that had that sentiment of a GIFT FOR YOU! Who doesn't like to see that? Water Colors, Scrolls Work Stamps and a Little Teary...

I love this stamp from Scrolls Work Stamps. The momma smooching her baby... so sweet and for me a little sad. Next Month... MY baby turns ONE!!! And today, My Precious Ava lost a tooth. Father Time... You are KILLING me!
ANYWAY...about my card. Well...I wet water color paper with water and I dropper SU reinkers on it to get the soft and swirly background. While it was drying... I water colored the image that I stamped with STAZON because I did NOT want the image lines to blur. While THAT was drying (and drying can be sped up with a heat gun) I thought that my background needed branches, so I water colored them onto my background. Then I thought it needed flowers to match momma's kimono. I made 5 small dots in a circle with a water based marker and then I blurred it with a paintbrush and water. I added the flower centers with a white gel pen while they were still a little bit damp. I adhered my momma and baby and here is my creation. Thanks for popping in!

I then trimmed what hung over the edges... and here is my card. All of the polka dots ae so fun and festive. This was a quick one to makewhich is wonderful when you have to make alot of them like I do because I have a TON of Birthdays this month.

Galloping Under the Silvery Moonlight

Oh, how poetic!!! I LOVE the way this card came out! I used the bouncing brayer technique. That technique is so easy and so pretty! I knew that this horse from DRS Designs would be prefect for this background! I stamped the horse silhouette and then I added the moon by sponging silver ink through a circle stencil. Then, with a white gel pen, I added the "craters"! I thought that the silver swirls would look pretty and then I added some dew drops for texture and cuz I LOVE them!!! So, here is my super simple stunning card! Try the technique for yourself... and check out DRS for this awesome stamp! Thanks for checking in!

MOTIVET Sketch Challenge...

The challenge this week at Motivet was to use a sketch challenge to make a card using one of the images that they sell. Well, I got this little cutie a while ago and now I had a chance to use her and all of the new COPIC markers that I just got! BIG SMILE! I love coloring as it really relaxes me and I think of nothing else! I chose some fun patterned paper and used SU card stock to match it all up! I even busted out the crop-a-dile to set the large eyelets...so glad I still remembered how!
I used my su word window and new label punch and i added the sentiment JUST BECAUSE... a SU rub on. I thought that was perfect... because I made this card... just because!
I punched the scroll in the corner with a punch
I have had for a while and I added the velvet
leaves because I LOVE the way they matched!
The little orange rose was a great finishing touch!
I added the crystal swirl in the corner for some balance and here is my card! I wanted to show a close up of the detail in this gorgeous stamp. for the trim on the jacket, I used liquid applique and added stickles over that! So that is my entry and i hope that you will all like it... and Please stay tuned for a really fun birthday card from DRS DESIGNS tomorrow! thanks for stopping by!

I think it fits the bill perfectly for men or women depending on how you decorate the card and what colors you choose. I love versatility in a stamp! I used some 3 D embellishments that you layer by adding pop dots to certain parts of the design that you cut out. The look is stunning and SIMPLE!!!

talented Tangi . She will have some another
wonderful card and your first letter in the Phrase. Thanks for stopping by!
