SISC41 Hardware...Use It In Your Creation!!!

This week's Challenge was to use hardware on your creation. I LOVE diamond plate... But using the real thing would make my card SUPER heavy... so I created my own! I wrapped a piece of tinfoil around a piece of card stock. Then I ran it through the cuttlebug with the diamond plate embossing folder.I got the look without the weight... how cool is that! Then I finished my card with some matching paper and here is my creation. Please play along with us at Stamp Insanity and show us YOUR creation! Thanks for popping in!

and now... the ASYLUM du jour:
Hellingly Hospital was a large mental hospital in the village of Hellingly, east of Hailsham, in East Sussex, England. The hospital, also known as East Sussex County Asylum or just Hellingly, was opened in 1903. Its architect was GT Hine, one of the great asylum architects of the era.

The majority of the hospital closed throughout 1994, however, and to this day much of the 25.4 hectare site stands derelict and extremely run down, after suffering repeated vandalism and multiple arson attacks

Love the card. Never would've thought to use aluminum foil over cardstock for the metal look. Very creative! So sad about the hospital being so run down. I don't know why people have to vandalize things. I know people don't agree with the whole asylum thing but really, the architecture is just amazing.
