Watercoloring on the right paper... WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!

I went to Cheap Joe's here in Charlotte and I got a small pad of watercolor paer and I got ready to have a go with it! I stamped the image in timber brown Stazon and let it dry. Then I used the SU ink on the lids of the ink pads and an aqua painter...WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE!The colors blended SOOOO much better and shading was a lot easier to do because of the paper. It seemed to stay wetter longer and allow the colors to blend without pilling the paper... it was WONDERFUL! The best part is that the paper was not really expensive at all...
Once I had my Mini Masterpiece complete... I looked for a SCS Sketch challenge that I liked and I chose this one. It was number 150. I cracked out the background stamps again and went to town...What do you think? I took it to my Salon to sell and it did not last the day... so SOMEBODY liked it! LOL!!!
Have a great day and I hope this inspires you to get some watercolor paper and get busy!!!

Beautiful job Dawn! I also have this stamp set but have never used it beacause I've been too intimidated to try to color it in. I may just have to give it a try!

Beautiful watercoloring!!! I love using the lids of the pads with an aquapainter to watercolor, almost better than with my watercolor wonder crayons. Glad to see I am not alone!!!
