Sneaky Peeky Poo!!!

OK... I was given the "go ahead" to show some of the DRS images for a Sneak Peek... I chose this one! OHHH... My pencils and Gamsol May NEVER be the same again! I colored this image with Gamsol and Faber Castel Pencils. For those who have not heard my Prisma pencil rant... I DESPISE these confounded things! Every time I sharpen them, they break and even when I DON'T sharpen them... they break... total waste of money and worse than that ... MY TIME!!! Phew... back to happy stampy! So after I stamped and colored these little duckies in, I painted SHIMMERZ on the leaf and the flower petals. In the center of the flower, I used crystal effects and clear glass beads for a bumpy raised texture. I LOVE the sentiment and the colors seemed perfect to me for a nice springy Easter card!Check out DRS and see what else is new!YOU ARE GONNA LOVE IT!

Cute card Dawn! I have problems with my Primacolor pencils breaking too but I still love them. Have you ever tried the Koh-i-noor (not sure if I spelled that right). They are woodless so you don't have to worry about them breaking.

Dawn, sorry to hear about your problematic Prismacolor pencils. I've heard that if they break often like you've mentioned that you can put them in the microwave for a few seconds to melt the pencil wax within the wood to solidify it and eliminate the breaking problem. I'm not sure where I heard this (probably a stamping mb) but if I find a link I'll send it to you. Nice job showing off those cute little chicks!

What a cute card-that duck is adorable! How frustrating about your colored pencils. I gave all of my faber castels to my kids and bought prisma pencils. EEK! I should probably get those back. lol
