Me, At the Beach... in 30 Years! (I Hope!)

This lady cracks me up! She is going swimming with nary a care for fashion... but she IS practical with her duckie float! This is what I will look like in 30 years... (I hope I don't look like that now!!! LOL) anyway, I used Art Impression stamps and I colored her in with copic markers... and i used glitter pens on the details. For the sand, I cuttlebudded some paper, sponged it and tore it to make it look like dunes. I cuttlebugged and sponged the water too. Check out the new GIRLFRIENDS stamps at Art Impressions...the are darling and you will be glad that you did!

Did Someone Say Blog Candy???

Yes... I DID!!!! where you ask? Right here, my dears! I am wanting to get as many followers as I can because the narcissist in me is thinking that 104 just isn't any where near enough. SOOOO to calm that little nagging voice down... lets start with one bag of unmounted rubber stamps... a grab bag of some fun images that I have collected over the years and they need a new home. Why you ask? Because they have never seen ink and with shows like HOARDERS on TV... I am starting to get nervous that someone may turn me in!!! So how to win? Become a follower and leave me a comment... simple... if you already follow me... tell me that and you are entered. For every 1o new followers I get... I will add another grab bag...so tell your friends. I am thinking that I will give this one week and announce the winners on FRIDAY of next week...June 4th. So come on and follow me...and you will have a chance to win some pretty groovy stamps.

Paper Makeup Could Not Have Said it Any Better!

I LOVE this saying from Paper Makeup. They have the pretties Word Art... and there is something for EVERY occasion! Shaela Odd is the designer of the word art and she is a wonderfully gifted artist. I used Basic Grey's paper and some Prima flowers and felt stems. I stamped the wording onto sparkly paper and used my nesties to cut them out. I used a sketch from SCS and here is what I came up with. Thanks so much for stopping in! Have a great day!

Some Little Notes From ARTful Inkables Post A Note

I made these super cute notes cards from the ARTful Inkables set POST A NOTE>
I have a die that cut the little envelopes and then i cut the paper that goes inside the,... then the magic begins. I stamped some of the sentiments from the set and used a punch to punch them out and I added them to the little note cards. Then I stamped the little flower from this set and colored it with coordinating colors. I cut out the flowers and added them to the flap so that all you have to do is add a dab of glue and seal your note shut. I priced these cards at Target and they are like 99 cents... and no where near as cute! So I hope that you like my project and PLEASE check out the gorgeous new sets that ARTful Inkables just released...Thanks for stopping in!

DRS Sponsoring A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge... Cute and Girly

This week... DRS Designs is sponsoring the challenge over at A Spoonful Of Sugar. The challenge is to make something cute and girls. I used this new sentiment from our new release and also these sweet little Sally Snails. I colored them with copics and added stickles to the centers of the flowers. I wanted to make sure they looked girly enough... so I added the little bows, that I tied my MYSELF!!! I used a grass punch I had to give these little ladies a home and a stencil for the clouds in the background. I hope that you will play along with this challenge and if you do you have a chance to win a gift certificate from DRS! Thanks for stopping in!

I made this card using a sentiment from DRS DESIGNS new releases. I also used the sun for the August calendar birthday image.I stamped the sun twice and colored the sun with copic markers.I cut out the 2 halves and held them together with a small piece of paper on the back of the image. then I used my nesties to die cut the center of the sun and adhered it with a pop dot. Nest, I stamped and cut out the sentiment, inked the edges and adhered it to the sun image.I adhered the sun to my cuttlebugged background paper and let the rays stick up a little for some texture. Since I have been feeling very flowery and buttony these days, I used a combo of both for the edge of my card. Thanks for popping in and I hope you like it!

Think Ink Challenge Number 20...A Recipe Challenge

So it was my turn for the THINK INK challenge over at ARTFUL INKABLES.I chose a recipe challenge and that made me think of cookie recipies and the cookies that I make at Christmas time and I KNEW that this darling set, Holiday treats and Tails, was PERFECT!!! My Challenge was to use 1circle, 2 ribbons and 3 buttons. For the buttons on my card, I only had white and needed red buttons to look like holly berries... so I used my copic markers and colored them to match! Pretty Slick, eh?
We would love for you all to play along with this challenge and when you do please link your creation HERE...you will have 2 whole weeks to play along....you can win a nifty grab bag of AI Stamps! You dont need to use AI stamps... but if you do, you will get an extra entry in the contest! We would love to see what you come up with for this recipe challenge...  Thanks for stoppin in!

I layered all of the matching cardstock in 1/4 in increments and then on the white panel, I stamped the sentiment and then I added the epoxy stickers.Quick, easy and sure to brighten someone's day during a challenging time! please scroll down for Paper Makeup Sneek...

Pondering Fairy...from SCROLLS WORK STAMPS

How AWESOME is that stamp? I LOVE the way the photo stamps work... they are from Scrolls Work Stamps and they are amazing! I had no idea what to expect because when you get the stamp... it looks strange, not at all like other stamps that i have... it is kinda flat. So I inked it up and when I stamped it...I said (out loud to no one)..."Oh my goodness... look at that!"
It looked like a newspaper print... which is why I incorporated some newsprint on this card. I colored the fairy in with chalks and Lumiere and then I added the die cut newspaper and the rhinestone vine and flowers. The sentiment is also from Scrolls Work and I had my good friend Jen in mind when I made this because she really is a doll. Hope ya like it...thanks for popping in!

Paper Makeup Flower Silhouette Sneak

For my card, i used the flower silhouette that,to me, looks like a sunflower. And that made me think about a sunflower under the moon! So I stamped the flower and embossed it with gold and then I brayered the background. it left a white edge around the flower, but on glossy cardstock, you can just blend it with a sponge. Then I added the grass and the small flowers from the same set to the card after the brayering was dry. I punched the edges and added the HOPE sentiment to the bottom of my card and then decked it out with dew drops. Please be sure to come back for the blog hop tomorrow for the biggest and the most diverse release we have ever seen at Paper Makeup! Thanks for stopping in!
