Everything is Going GREEN at DRS

I was just in Savannah (one of my FAVE cities) and they have the second largest St. Patty's Day celebration in the nation...AND I think that DRS has the FIRST most awesome and adorable St. Patty's Day stamps! This is one of the new images that they are releasing and I love love LOVE IT! It is not that easy to find a fun St. Pat's stamp and I think Hatful of Shamrocks fits the bill. I know that I can get carried away with green, so I used a yellow background with the shamrock easy background stamp for the first layer. Then I stamped and colored my image with copics and gel and glitter pens. I added this sentiment also from DRS and here is my card. Quick and easy and super St. Patty!!! Check out DRS for these and so many other fun stamps... and wait til you see what is coming up for Easter!!! Thanks for poppin in and STAY TUNED!!!

No, She Isn't Cold...

I made her blue on purpose. I used another AWESOME stamp by Sweet Pea Stamps and made this super fun card! I love the bling and the fun stars on this card! I think thatshe looks lovely in pale blue... almost like she is in the shadows or something! I used a quickutz embossing background and sponged it so the embossing would show up. I added the stars and the corners and then I had to bling it all out with my crustal swirls and the purple gems in the corner. I added the spheres in the background using shimmerz paints and then I highlighted them with a white gel pen. for the sparkle ion her hair I added glitter pens and here is my creation. I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I enjoy coloring this awesome stamps! thanks for stopping by!
Here is a close up of some of my coloring for her face and her makeup!Isn't she lovely?

Thanks for looking!

OK... So He is a Little Late... His Aim is Still Great!

Today, I wanted to show you a cute card made with Art Impression little cupid. Like I said, he is late (well, I am really) BUT... My Darling Hubby and I have been together 13 years... yep, lucky 13... so cupid's aim was perfect! I colored him with copics and cuttlebugged the hearts and then punced them out, Next, I tied the bows MYSELF with the bow easy and followed a sketch from SCS... and here is my card. Make sure you take a look at AI's stamps and check out the Easter stamps...  They are DARLING and it is right around the corner... thanks for poppin in!

PMS Re-Think! I Really Had To THINK!!!

Because this is PMS Stamp's birthday month, We had a fun idea to re-think our first PMS card. Well... when I found PMS, I fell in LOVE with these monsters! This little guy, Dreck... Looked exactly how I felt about 40! When it was time to Re- Think our cards, I got out Dreck and stared to think. It is REALLY hard to case your own card! Ha Ha ! Anyway... I came up with this card and I found it funny that Dreck (seen here as Drecky-Poo) has the same look for 42!

It was fun to make him a her and add the sweet little bow and remake the card with pinks and girly colors! We would love to see your remakes, just link them up to the PMS blog! Thanks for popping and have a great day... and don't think too much!

If I Was Ever A Mermaid...

I wanna look like this! I got my Sweet Pea stamps in the mail... OK I got MORE stamps in the mail and here is the card that I made. I of course used copic markers, gel and glitter pens, shimmerz and sparkly paper. I didn't have the right colors, So I colored it with my copics and the result was AWESOME!!! I then punched the "coral" with Martha Stewart punches andused it as my "frame" around my card.I am really LOVING the Sweet Pea Stamps and how fun they are to work with! I use all of my blingy things to make them sparkle and I really just let go and create! Check them out... the prices are very reasonable and the images are awesome... and I get RED RUBBER!!! I am not great at Digis... so it is so nice to know that I can get high quality red rubber! I guess it is the smell... or maybe the feel of it in my hands... or that I am a hoarder at heart and the more stamps the better... ANYWAY... thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Paper Makeup Has Heart...

Every once in awhile, it's nice to help out a friend. Not because you feel an obligation. Not because the friend has asked. Not even because the friend has suffered a tragedy. Just because sometimes, we all need a little bit of support. This is one of those times. Someone near and dear to many of us, is in a rough patch. And together, we can help. We can help her push thru this struggle. We can help her get thru this!
This person, is our friend (and design team member) Gabby Arriaza. Gabby and her family have come upon a hardship that is proving to be more than they can handle on their own. You can read more about it on her blog.
Gabby has been a bit too proud to ask anyone for help, but this is our Gabby! We simply cannot sit idly by and let our dear friend face all of this alone.
Since Gabby is one of the rockinest stampers out there, I spoke with Cynthia about designing a rockstar moody girl. Whats fun about this digi is also that she is the only moody available as a digi stamp! Gabby herself has also supplied some word art and we have another digi sentiment available.
These sales will all go directly to the Arriaza family.
We all thank you for time and time again helping us to help others.
Please Check Papermakeup.com to purchase this Digi stamp and to feel awesome helping another fellow stamper! I am proud to be a part of a design team that helps others and knows that sharity begins at home!

Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge... Sponsored by: DRS!

This week, DRS designs will be sponsoring the Sketch Challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches! I LOVE sketch challenges...so this was right up my alley! I used my nesties for the oval shape and I stamped the pea pod twice. I colored the pea pod and cut it out and then I popped it up on the other stamped image for dimension. I used a lace punch for the green paper behind the ovals and added the pretty pink ribbon. For the sentiment, I stamped only part of a sentiment stamp by using a marker to color the part of the stamp I wanted, and then stamping it! I used a nestie label punch for my sentiment and them more ribbon. I added the flowers in the corner and here is my take on the sketch. I am really encouraging you all to play along as we are sponsoring the sketch and there will be a PRIZE!!! So go,click here to get the sketch and then link up your card for a chance to win! Thanks for stopping in!!!

Happy Baby To You!!!

Over at Starving Artist Stamps, one of their own is having a baby! And they want people to welcome her arrival with a card and in the card, include a bay tip to share. Well, mine was nap when the baby naps and let the dishes wait. Babies are only small for a little while and they grow so quickly. The dishes will always be there. My son is almost 7 months old (can you believe that?) and I still have dishes.(LOL). BUT, I have awesome memories of him falling soundly asleep in my arms and me just watching him sleep.AHHHHHH, Pure Bliss! Anyway, here is my card and CONGRATS on that precious bundle of joy! I know that you will love being a mommy as much as I do!

Oh My Goodness... I Made SIMPLE Cards!!!

If ya know me... you know that simple cards are so not me.My cards are usually kind of over the top...a party in the envelope before the party even starts! SO, I thought that I would challenge myself...to make clean and simple cards. To me that means a few embellishments and not alot of clutter on the card... so here are my takes on that idea! For the first card i used my nesties and die cut the 2 shapes. This wonderful sentiment fir in there perfectly and the I added the butterflies. I scored the edges with my scor pal and here it is...

For this next card... I did the same thing... only different. I still die cut 2 shapes and I used another wonderful sentiment and the scor pal.

Only this time I criss crossed the background.

Where they intersected, I added a little pink glitter dot.
I used these Calla Lillie's and then... the pink bow.
So that is my take on clean and simple. I hope that you enjoyed these cards and try to do this yourself. I really enjoyed the challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

Mr Mailman... You are SAFE!!!

My Sweet Pea stamps came. So Mr. Mailman... don't worry... I won't chase you down the street anymore! I made this card using the Shining On stamp that Sweet Pea is offering for the Haiti relief effort. The money raised will go to Doctors Without Borders. I love that! I used my copics to color her in and I used the colors in this weeks copic color challenge. I added some sparkly doo dads to the outside and I got to play with all of my sparkly stuff... so I LOVED that! I am very pleased with the way she came out and I will be coloring more of these! I love coloring images... it is very therapeutic for me and I just let my mind go and create... LOVE that! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Glittery Birthday to YOU... DRS STYLE!!!

I LOVE Birthdays and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bling! So what could be better than a COMBO of 2 of my faves??? I took the candle stamp from DRS DESIGNS and I inked the top and the sides... and I did this close to the top of the page of paper. I did this on several scraps of colored paper. Then I cut out the candles. I cut the flames out after I colored them with copic markers. I adhered the candles to a card and Then I added the flames later. I drew the wick to connect the flame to the candle. then I used my FAVE stickles to the tops of the candles for glitz and bling!!! I added the sentiment and here is my fun and BLINGY card! Enjoy!

It All Started When My Husband Got This Calendar...l

So... My hubby comes home from work with this calendar and proclaims"Look at this calendar Hon, it has all these days on it..." and I said..."A calendar??? With DAYS on it??? How novel!" He meant... with crazy, random days. What a smarty pants I am... anyway... today's day is Spunky Old Broad's day... and take a look at these 3...I would say they fit the bill. They are a stamp from Art Impressions and I colored them with Copic markers and gel and glitters pens for the details. I added this pretty bow and here is my simple but SPUNKY card. Keep your eyes peeled to see what other days come up from this crazy calendar! thanks for stopping in!!!
